Sorry, I found him quite annoying and pompous but my sympathies are with his family.

  2. Well.... the whole business is annoying and pompous... I didn't see him that way.

His witt and humour and skill in summarizing the weekly financial activity was unmatched. Wall Street Week was a great show and Louis Rukeyser was a great writer and host.

Somehow, no matter how crazy the market week was, listening to Lou Rukeyser would put the weeks activities in perspective .

Thanks Lou, you will be missed.

Don't worry, we've got Cramer to take his place [cue the "throwup" sound] :(

Rukeyser was also my first exposure to economics and the markets many years ago. I still miss his program... RIP.

  8. Very mannerly...and made several money managers stars by his exposing them to the public...

Very witty....excellent commentary with a style of his own....

He even looked a bit like George Washington notable on US currency....

Hats off to you ....you will be missed.....

Always regretted whenever I had to miss a show.

I met him in an elevator at an investment seminar a few years back, didn't realize how tall he was. We made small talk and he looked you in the eye as he spoke.

    The man was a Prince.
