I had the COVID in Feb 2020. I got fully vaxxed in May 2021. Has there been a study of how much protection there is for a person who got both the natural immunity to the virus AND the vaccine?
Having already had Kung Flu and also getting the vaccine is the best protection but is only slightly better than already having Kung Flu. My belief is that if you have already had Kung Flu, then there is no need to get the vaccine.
But what is the harm in getting it, in a case like that? It takes, literally, just a few minutes at the local pharmacy! Big deal!
I didn't say that there was a harm in getting it. I said that a person who has already had Kung Flu is vastly more protected than someone who hasn't had it and is getting the vaccine.
Well, with all that said, and not meaning to turn the subject too much away from the OP, but keep a close eye on this RSV going around. Our entire household got it back at beginning of August, and it was bad. Similar symptoms as COVID, just less in duration. That thing is going to make life very uncomfortable for many folks. (I do not know it's mortality rate, but I suspect it is fairly low compared to COVID). Pervasive little fucker that thing is. Insidious I tell you!
!. You're still not making any sense whatsoever. What is your point?, if you have one. Who cares if natural immunity imparts similar protection against a future Covid infection as do the mRMA vaccines ( >90% effective at preventing illness; close to 100% effective at keeping people out of the hospital or dying). Why would anyone risk death or very serious illness to achieve natural immunity if at no cost and virtually zero risk of serious side effects they could achieve the same or better immunity with a couple of painless shots. There are plenty of not very bright idiots still advocating against getting vaccinated, and of course even more firmly against mandates. This kind of stupidity, such as your own, is a mystery to me. Please make sure you stay away from any unvaccinated kids.
Not necessarily. If they think they had a covid infection but are not certain because they had very light symptoms, they should certainly take the earliest opportunity to get vaccinated, even if they had a positive PCR test. A positive test is not proof of infection. Only those who were quite ill and were properly diagnosed as having Covid can be reasonably sure of achieving some immunity against a future reinfection.
