The AUDUSD is pointing itself towards 8040. Gimme ten grand, and I'll teach you how to trade the FX successfully. No more blowing up OPM inside of a week flat.

  3. I know you are trying to lighten things up, but you need to face it. There is no humor in screwing a 19 year old out of his life savings. Believe it or not there should be no humor in screwing anyone out of their life savings.

The sad part of all of this is even if you didn't intentionally screw him (which I doubt), you have the trading and money management skills of a 10 year old with a pocket full of money in a toy store.

Be a man for once in your life and give the kid half of his money back. It's the only way you will ever regain your own self-respect.

    8040 -- what a wonderful number !

ah yes, in the long term, but i refer to the intermediate term, for which the currency is presently moving down WITHIN its major LRC uptrend ! shortly the currency will then reverse, moving back up within its channel to reach another high, BUT then it will move down again and go on to yet another high (assuming it all goes according to your plan)

or do you buy and then HOLD your long position during the downside moves within the channel, thereby ignoring what you could have made on the short side ?

from the sounds of your prophecy, I believe you do !

once again my single minded friend who no amount of facts will deter from his intended evaluation, SOMETHING happened to close out a large loss that was being carried and another computer, logged into the trading account and left in an open area and accusable by any patient (and which HAD been previously accessed (ask the OP !) causing us to lose connection, was there for the typing ------ dont understand how that single fact keeps being ignored but obviously you dont WANT to accept it because it would throw everything you've been saying into another basket !

given that loss, the OP closed the account on AUDUSD and the rest is history ! Had not the USD, oversold as it was, been hit with the news that dropped it, the original movement patterns of AUDUSD would have continued unabated, which it has now returned to doing now that the dollar news is old hat !

8040 -- certainly possible, but not in the present timeframe -- that we must wait for as the reasonably predictable cycles of AUDUSD return to the upside move !

do you really just buy and hold -- invest and not trade ??

    Mike:

Stop throwing the smoke screens. You talk like a scammer, with all that excuses and stories.

Why don't you give us a blow-by-blow accounts of "your" trades
Give us some hard numbers, with timeline and real time P/L of the moment, so that we can understand what and where that happened.

the list of trades is attached here:
    http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?postid=1250220

You talked about the AUDUSD, where was your entry? give me your numbers.
As far as I can see, your overall positions are still under the water!

What are all those scalping about? and all of a sudden you switched to swing trade with buy-and-hold strategy? Maybe you were managing too many accounts and forgotten about this one for a moment?

  6. Mr. Parker,

Let's quit all the garbage. Stop blaming anything or anyone else for closing a trade at a 90% loss. No trade should ever reach a 90% loss. If you let it get there, it's singularly YOUR fault. Whether you're an all-out con man or just an idiot of a trader, I'm not sure. If you're conning people out of their life savings, you're an evil person and you'll get what is coming to you. If you actually placed the trades and believe the nonsense you're spitting at us, I implore you, get out of this business.

Now please quit steering this thread into a discussion of where some currency pairs are going and throwing in humor. It might be funny to you and a lot of other people that this "wasn't that much money." But for lots of young people, $10k is a life savings and it will clearly take him a long time to recover it. There's nothing funny about it, and you should pay the kid back and let him move on.

the logs you have contain the trades, including the two ill fated ones -- the one that "something or someone" closed and the one the OP closed !

on there is my entry and to be honest, it became a swing trade because it had gone against me and, seeing what the general trend for the symbol was, i simply allowed it to hang, knowing full well that it would become profitable shortly (which it either has already or will in a day) There is no ONE way to trade, be it pennies, the Q's (with or without options) or IBM (which makes some very profitable moves, btw) and I do all of them in combo or seperately as I see fit (or have the time for !)

the trade that was closed, causing an extremely large loss, happened "somehow" and could not be explained by FXDD except that two computers were logged into the trading panel at the same time and one of those computers was in a public place, open AND HAD BEEN TINKERED WITH ON PREVIOUS occasions, CLOSING A YAHOO CONNECTION BETWEEN THE TWO OF US ON A NUMBER OF occasions !

NOW you and the rest of the board can continue to INSIST THAT ONE KEYSTROKE, by a patient in Japan, COULD NOT RUIN A PERFECTLY GOOD DAY, but the evidence is to the contrary !!

btw, its no longer really called "scalping" as that was a trading style of fitting between the bid and ask and stealing an eighth or a sixteenth from the specialist thru the use of SOES --- i believe what we now do is known as "flipping", which are short term trades I enjoy doing constantly and did on that symbol (as well as many others) during the day !

while the first loss was mine, due to not seeing where the margin was at the moment, it was recoverable HAD THE SECOND loss not been closed "somehow" and the third not closed by the OP !

Presently I am rebuilding losses suffered by a newb on her first journey into Forex, and in two or three days have recovered 25% and intend to be back to normal by mid next week -- she has been told, IN NO WAY is she to go near the trading panel while im trading as the MT4 software allows that to happen ! (which no other software i know of allows !!)

the OP has presented his facts, originally wanting to know if he had been scrammed which, since there was no way i could make anything unless the positions went up, was impossible -- I understand his hurt and his loss, but also understand that hands should have been kept off an open trading panel, his or anothers ! (i doubt it was his, except to close the final position)

that is what I saw, what happened and what I shall maintain forever !

    Mike:

Let's not beat the dead horse on this particular issue.

    1. Chris has already stated that this was not the situation.

    2. It is quite easy to find out "who" log each and every trade.
A trade does not simply happened out of the blue by "accident".
The broker's computer records each and every incoming instruction by IP address. These records are IP specific, it CANNOT and will not be confused even if there are 2 computers opened at the same time.

(Yahoo losing its connection is not valid that happens with everyone no matter what their doing..)

seems like were going around the marry go round... Like WD40 stated and everyone knows it doesnt matter if the panel was open by more than one person it doesnt spontaneously generate trades (if anything a program, MT obviously doesnt have that security feature, would kick you out with more than one connection on a single account)... Even if it was even possible to install Metatrader at work, I doubt anyone would even know how to use it... This was not the excuse before for losing everything... FXDD still states it was because of margin falling below 80% not some platform error even you told me which I confirmed that the people at technical support analyzed the trades and nothing happened due to a strange phenomenon. Yes, I closed the long audusd and short audusd, like I said already, because I saw that you just put in the short when I was staring at the platform talking to FXDD about my thrashed account. By closing those two trades I was only down about 700 dollars (from just the two) and that was worth it enough for me to feel somewhat a sigh of relief. 700 is no where near the amount you lost with every other trade you made, right now I would be doing side ways triple backflips if thats all I lost in MY time of tragedy I am glad your still chipper. No effort by you to make me feel better, just your offer to watch your future trades?
