For God's sake. DO NOT write the young man a check. Keep the money since that's what you intended on doing in the first place. Young OP's gotta learn not to trust people who aren't regulated and have no references and make wily promises. He has surely learned his lesson and will be ultra cautious the next time. As for the scammer, he has to look at himself in the mirror every morning and if he feels that he is really a good person, then he is as delusional as I thought. It's a very classic FX scam. Check out the forexbastards website - they are littered with them. Again, blowing up accounts happens. It's not at all abnormal in this nutty business. Someone opens a 10K account with you and wants to short corn a month ago, well he's toasted. It happens. Bad trades happen. Stupid trades happen. Scammers are REAL.
Take your $ and get out. If the guy hasn't produced yet, chances are, he's not going to. Consider it tuition paid, and educate yourself, and learn as much as you can. Then at least, you can have the satisfaction of loosing your own money. Gordo
From the FX forum to Chit-Chat and now back to FX. Can we move this thread to Classifieds next? Or better yet, Hook-up? How 'bout a few of us get together and find out where the scamster lives and go over and just beat the living shit out of him? Anybody game? I mean, cripes, it's bad enough he fleeced the guy out of 10K, but he seems to be having an awful darn good time w/it on this thread. He thinks he's a Star, like he's cute or something. What a class act this guy is. If anybody ever needed to be taken out back and given a good old-fashioned beating... H
obviously MP is very experienced in handling customer (victim) complaints. He must have done this hundreds of times. just look at the smoke screens he throws. -- I didn't want to do it, he made me take the account. -- it was supposed to be a swing trade (yet all he did in the first 2 days was scalping) -- see, didn't the position come back? (yet it was not even breaking even) -- trading is so predictable, it brings tears to your eyes and money to your bank. -- this was only a research project !!! someone called him a weasel. I think that is a fitting name.
Add the "unexplained transactions" to the list. Add trading 4 contracts on a 10,000 account. Add no money management skills or actions If he is so good at trading forex he shouldn't have any problem refunding at least half of this guys money. Will he be a MAN and step up to the plate? I can answer that. No he won't, because scammers never step up to the plate. They just take and take and take.
TUNNEL RAM, woo hoo, twin Hollys or Carters, mechanical or vacuum secondaries. independent runner or plenum, which did you use. We preferred plenum with twin 660 dominators for the street. Memories of my wayward VIPER youth, sorry. This discussion should be stickied as the first thing you see under Forex trading, as a community service. This will help to "give the inexperianced one shrewdness" The Ever Roddin VIPER
This being at least the second time you have said the same thing I see you are very concerned on making sure I learned a lesson. Are you a teacher at the school of hard knocks or what...this has taught me that I am better off just drinking my money away like everyone else i know because its funner than saving it all up for years (ive been a hermit ever since I started working trying to save money so I can get ahead and lose it all at once.. but I am glad I learned a lesson)..tried to be smarter than my friends and whereas I wasn't I am glad there are people like PohPoh to point that out. I am sure you must've been in the same exact situation as me... if not you have no room to talk.
i regret saying that about ya PohPoh its just not helping me now, 3 years from now when all is over and done with I will look at it as a good lesson but even if i did get the money back some how I would still have learned the same lesson but without an indigent effect.
Good to see that you have caught on how these forums work acdspit00. But instead of two posts in a row on the same day to bump the thread back to the top I recommend a post every other day, unless you are answering a new post by another ET member. Too much bumping by the thread starter is NOT RECOMMENED.
