Lost half of my years salary in a week!

  1. In my opinion, the OP was ignorant (definition: lack of information = education) about the reality of trading. $$ signs in eyes, usual greed emotions overcame good sense.

The trader(s) (and I use the term in extremely loose sense) played a part in enticement touting the wonders of FX, how it's easy money (pure bulls**t) and all that usual crap.

Any aspiring money manager who even hints of profit potential greater that +1% daily average for managed accounts is a deliberate liar, total fool, or both. One who is guilty of any degree false enticement AND dodges the honorable act of making the victim whole or at least partially reimbursed on the loss should leave our industry forever, period.

But... as Dennis Miller used to say, "That's just my opinion. I guess I could be wrong."

If this is for a dissertation, then of course you will be happy (and required by both Stanford and Stamford Universities, as well as APA and every other acreditation body) to provide us as research subjects (yes, even anonymous and unwitting ones), with the faculty contact information for your dissertation advisor, as well as the information on how to contact the institutional IRB, whose prior approval was required to conduct this research.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jessie

  4. Well maybe a 15% DD is to tight for Forex (though I don't know cuz I haven't traded much Forex)...But the bottom line is that losing $4000 on one trade is way too much risk in one position...and then to have the gall to say that the one trade the client exited was the one that would have saved the account??
    It makes me sick...

  5. My question is: which one your other clients got pounded for $1700 to make the OP's $1700 gain look real? I know how this sham works...

  6. Dear MP:

My deepest apologies for misjudging you earlier, before all the facts were in.

I would like to kindly request an opportunity to make it up to you, as best as I can. I will personally send a check for $10,000.00, made out to you, to your campus office, to be used in any way you see fit -- no strings attached -- as soon as you confirm the information in the above quote. I know all too well how tough, financially and otherwise, it can be for a poor, struggling grad student. I was one myself, once, at Primceton U. Maybe you've even heard of it? Hope so.

Since a number of people here know my real identity and, furthermore, I have been registered with the CFTC since 1999, you can be certain that I am ready, willing and able to stand by my bona fide offer.

Should you be unwilling or unable to confirm that information, no problem at all. Naturally, in that extremely unlikely event, it's only fair that you reimburse your ex-client in the amount of $10,000.00. In addition, you will agree not to have any responsibility, directly or indirectly, whether under your own name, a different name or as part of any entity, currently existing or not, for making or participating in any investment or trading decisions regarding any funds other than your own or those of your immediate family, at any time in the future.

I trust that this proposal is to your satisfaction and meets with your approval. I look forward to being able to be of financial assistance to you, as you successfuly complete your PhD program at Stamford University.

  7. I have briefly attended various functons at Harmford University and I too would like to me a part of this. I will contribute 5 dollars to the fund. I am still licensed with the CFTC and I can assure you of the valididiocy of my public offer.

  8. peoples,

i told you most of what i say is very tongue in cheek, and you rose to it like foxes to grapes !

gimme a break -- youre waiting for the OP to verify or not verify that his computer was left open in a public area with patients who habitually played with it -- LOOSEN UP A LITTLE -- enjoy the profit from this molrnings rally -- short the downside now and LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE AND BE HAPPY !

youse peoples have to be the most uptight ive ever met since i attended a republican convention in stamford conn !

youre all gonna burst blood vessels !

when you get the information, be it yay or nay, THEN, as i have said repeatedly, make an INFORMED decision, cause you sure aint doing it now !

but ive got a short to close out, and im happy as can be !
