The problem of youth is that they think they know everything The tragedy of old age is that you get to slowly realize you know next to nothing.
Globalization, merger, tech sluggish advance and labor force deduction seem inevitable. Young people still need to work more than eight hours per day or seek more education in order to be competitive. It is useless to complain. By using layoff as the tool for profits, CEO CFO are running out of their strategies. The country needs new tech to sustain economic growth. Many incapable leaders in all levels should step down their positions because they are wasting our lives and limited resources.
i agree. youth is wasted on the young. there will come a time when you will wonder where did the time go and will realize you dont have enough time left to do all the things you want to do. that usually happens about the time your parents pass and it hits you that you are the next to go. get off your ass and enjoy life. get out and enjoy nature. right now the tree colors are turning in the high country. the views are beautiful. enjoy it. i am planning to do just that this weekend. i am going to jump in my convertible and cruise some mountian roads enjoying the scenery. http://blackhillstravelblog.com/spe...HillsTravelBlog+(The+Black+Hills+Travel+Blog) Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain
My idea is to put everybody on Social Security at Age 21 and then stop the benefits at 45. The longer people lived the more there would be in the fund because all the old geezers would be working. For many it would be their first job. Imagine how content everyone flipping burgers would be remembering their youth? Ah well it was good, but time now to get to work. Got a whole new crop of kids coming of age this year we have to pay for, after all, our parents sure gave us a good time. I think I am going to work really hard. I want my kids to have more fun than I did.
Kids would be calling from Florida asking, "Hey Dad, did you get a job yet?" Daughters would be nagging them to go to college. Heck no I'm not going to pay for it, I'm on Social Security! Just take out a student loan, you should be able to pay it off before you die. People are living longer today.

I think anyone who is willing to work hard day in and day out, even if just a basic stature of construction , along with proper saving skills can reach middle class comfortable wealth, things may not be getting easier, but they certainly are not unattainable for any and all young average or not joes or janes.
Ask yourself who is the role model for many young people ? The person they admire and look up to. The person they imitate and become more and more like. Maybe I should have said what not who because today's role models are:- spiderman, bender from futurama, superman, wonder woman etc. Gee Officer Clunky they're a MESS and the next little ********* that tells me to kiss his metal ass aaaaaaaaaah !!!!!!!!!
That encapsulates the general sentiment of most idiot Boomers on this thread. Most people here assume the worst is behind us. It's not. Ipads and electronic gadgets mean jackshit when all the brick and mortar jobs are gone. That's what these fucking toolbags have done to us. 9% unemployment is nothing. The deficit is the stimulus. Once we hit the wall like Greece and Portugal, the bandaid gets ripped off and the legs get kicked out from underneath this phony economy. All this was avoidable had you dipshits actually thought things through and payed your own way, instead of forcing America's next generation to subsidize your existence. You idiots won't get your precious Social Security or Medicare Enjoy....
