There is a reason you lost, am guessing you didn't backtest enough, simple as that,. However, would have taken long time to find answers going back 100 years, going over invasions and how stock market reacted.

Ever heard stocks called Enron, K-mart, Sears, all had huge moves down. But here is what's important, if you trading huge risk, use insurance, learn to hedge.

I trade many futures, would love to get into Ruble, but no options so no can do.

I rather just use charts instead of opinions.

  2. Position size. Countertrend trading is risky. Trading against politicians is risky. Volatility is risky too. Size positions accordingly if you still go for the hunt. Bet the farm on almost secure win trades, stay humble on risky ones.

  3. That even beats my 70% draw-down when I went long on BTC right at the top not less than 24-hours before Elon turned his back on Bitcoin and said Tesla would refuse payments through crypto anymore.

What a drop! Only halted after Elon made another Twit post how he was holding 'Diamond Hands'.

    Thanks fucker!

That said, you can't avoid good trades just because of an event that happened over 100 years ago. If we all were that cautious, no one would trade a fucking thing.

You find a good trade, go for it. Just because the governments around the world do something later unpredicted and unorthodox doesn't mean you were WRONG at the time.

That said, let me boost your confidence a little. There are plenty of millennials that supplied dumb-money into the system and suffered a worse draw-down. Hell, so-called experienced managers (Cathie Wood) got sucked into the HOOD play. So if a so-called professional manager can fuck that up...

Some poor suckers bought HOOD shortly after the IPO even at $80 a share. That's over 85% draw-down in less than a year and it's still a sinking Enron that looks like it will go no where but to zero. Just look at the abysmal negative earnings!

-45% drop in one day is a signal to ... at the least wait and see what happens next.

Got to admit it tho, at first bought into it as well, but then in the middle of the post(uno reverse card), you could see the same structure like in any of those zacks.com garbage articles , -

  7. Do you mind telling me what do you think I am selling? The solutions I proposed Gold/Silver and Bitcoin have no centralised entity behind them. Who's going to pay me sales commission for selling them? Or maybe someone thinks I will benefit by driving up prices of Gold/Silver and Bitcoin through promoting them. Hmm ... these are very liquid assets, not illiquid penny stocks. My time is spent more profitably learning about the craft of trading/investing these assets than promoting them. Posting here and getting feedback from elitetraders has the benefit of learning the craft from elitetraders.

If you're implying that I'm trying to drive more eyeballs to what I wrote, then I'm guilty as charged. I spent a long time writing the articles and naturally would like more people to read what I wrote. Yes, I'll gain some google adsense commission from the page views but they are not enough to even pay for the trading commission.

Getting sceptical replies is expected since this is a forum of elitetraders. Being sceptical before making an investment is a good habit to develop.

  8. The edge is conditional on whether the thing is expected to survive.

You don't buy when people are panicking about companies that will no longer exist. You buy when earnings go down and people are sad and things are terrible and they will never get better.

I don't know what are you selling and are you selling at all, but what i know, that, it looks this way.

Do you know for sure ? Have you got a proof?
A majority of it is hold by few accounts, while nobody knows, who made it. Some Satoshi Fukushima Chernobyl guy. ~~Yup~~

Does it make, any sense, for them to hire few freelancer writers (besides, kudos, the writing was good), to write such articles ?

    I think, it absolutely does.

  10. I don't have to prove anything with regards to what you think. You're entitled to your opinion. I will not hold anything against you. You can disagree strongly and have an unfavourable opinion of me. I don't care about that. What I do care about is the content of what I wrote (factual mistakes ...)

By the way, I wish I were among the few whale accounts. If that day comes, I'll probably still continue writing and participating in forums like this one.
