Losing Execution Priority using IB TWS

    This is the someone else also asked you the same question and you did not answer. It was not a trick question. Are you attempting some type of arb-trade??? Are you trying to use IB to scalp??? Its not obvious to everyone...

    Pardon the twisted humor. I just couldn't resist.

    I'm definitely not arbing.

    I trade small swings in low liquidity stocks. My hold time varies from less than a minute to several weeks depending upon my trading strategy for that security, market conditions, trading volume, and how many times I get bumped back in execution priority.

    I'm trying to buy at the same time that I am selling out of my portfolio because I want to increase my trade volume in these lean markets. I have NOT been placing sell orders for more shares than I already own because I am uncomfortable with the potentially long exposure times.

    I hope that answer is more to your liking. Personally, I liked my first answer. :D
