I'm on a high speed cable connection to the internet and I use Interactive Brokers data. This morning I keep losing the data connection from IB. This happens every couple of minutes for a few seconds. I'm not sure if this is IB losing the connection or if it is a problem from my internet service. Is there a way to figure out what is causing the problem? I was thinking if I could run a small program that would monitor my internet connection and see if it is causing the problem.
Run PingPlotter, it will show you exactly along the path between you and IB where the packet loss is. You can leave it running all the time.
