  5. Then of course there are those who don't know the difference between "lend" and "loan" or the correct use of "each other" vs "one another", which is practically everybody. But then few people write anymore.

    Non-English-speakers aside, this says a lot about the state of our schools.

    And let's not mention geography.

  6. Even the local news anchors are getting lax (loose) in their pronunciations of words.

    What's getting on my nerves now is:

    Shtreet instead of street

    Thishyear instead of this year


    And coming soon:

    Wutchyu talkin bout wetha man

    I'm gonna sawered that bowawd in haff

  9. No shit. We had 'supireor' the other day (apparently an attempt to spell 'superior').

    If you point any of this out, the teenagers on here start yelling 'grammer [sic] police'.

    The problem is simple - these people were never taught to read. That's why they can't spell. If you read, you learn to spell.
