Its the "tasty trade" fund. Perhaps VN would be best advised to let a professional handle his money? http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?t=282097 Seriously though, it is the nature of trading and the nature of human response to indeterminate systems that causes urban legends to pop up all the time. The "loosers" need some kind of belief to guide them in the face of their own real evidence. This is also known as superstition (and for some people, religion). Some people have a need to believe in powerful forces on their side.
diversion or disparagement, market surfer? this thread contains/ missing the same as timothy sykes' thread. where is the track record of niederhoffer? mr. helmholtz/marketsurfer, please provide. lots of luck. we are likely to receive the same obfuscation on this thread as was posted to the timothy sykes' thread.
of course this thread was obviously created by someone who holds a grudge against VN. surprisingly nobody has called out the OP on it inc. the resident guru/hero worshiper, helmholtz/market surfer. even helm... fell for the bait.

I implied nothing of the sort. Yeah, it was moronic to invest in Matador, but little was made of his short vol program. He was "always in" with the short puts. He always rolled into a new series. This was not mentioned in the DD. AUM would've been much, much less had it been made clear that the risk was in short g/v.
