Looks like Victor Niederhoffer blew up again

  1. Recall that VN threatened Baron with litigation when Pabst reported (promptly deleted) the 2007 blowup, only for the WSJ to report it weeks later. The six buck par-put fiasco.

Yeah, I remember, Surf spent days denying that VN had blown up and then when the news was out claimed that he was the first one to announce the blowup on ET.

What an act, still at it eh Surf. You keep this story in front of people and extend the thread and it does not help you buddy at all. I would bet VN would like to stay off the web and out of the press if this is true.

  4. The guy is a total amateur.

He even said that trend following techniques - and technical analysis in general - are for losers.

    My thoughts on victor.

I read the first 100 pages of his book after my boss lent it to me. I got bored of it. Who is so full of themselves they need a 1000 pages to write an autobiography? He's not Jesus nor Leonardo da Vinci.

I had a colleague who knew victor through some any rand club that victor started. Like surf, he was an admirer of victor. No one at victors level doesn't understand the blow up risks of a short vol strategy.

The size of his fund and his current net worth implies he's been taking his gains out of the fund each year. So he's not betting that he won't blow up but rather when.

I doubt he blew up. There's no evidence of it and OP is a troll. But we all know he will someday.

  6. I am not surprised that you're confused. You're at his teat 24/7 and you didn't know? Octane funded him with 150 or so.

  7. Vic should sue if it is not true. Will baron reveal the OP's IP if given a court order?

  9. Rule number 1: Trading is all about risk management (assuming your trading system has a statistical edge to begin with, of course).

Disregard risk and you will end up in the poor house, sooner or later.

Took me a decade to understand that simple fact.
