Looks like the hush payments came from the campaign donations

Solid proof why Trey Parker and Matt Stone did so well with “Team America” in 2004.

That's way to complicated for me. I'm just a simple guy who believes that if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. Do you recall Sam Ervin from the Watergate era? Sam was the folksy Senator from North Carolina in charge of the hearings. He had an L.L.B. from Harvard and was nobody's fool. He loved to pontificate. He'd lead off by saying, "I'm just a country lawyer." , then he'd quote a Bible verse or two. :D

Here is a link to a Rolling Stone Article that illustrates Ervin's straight-to-the-point cross examination style and his knack for prying the truth from a prevaricating witness. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/sermon-on-the-hill-a-sam-ervin-sampler-70955/

The parallels between what happened in the Watergate investigation and what is happening right now are amazing. Including the way people stuck up for Nixon. Quite a few clung to the improbable despite the monsoon of circumstantial evidence pouring down on them. Even after the Court ruled the W.H. must turn over the tapes, some still tried to dismiss the obvious. The ones who hung on to faint hope until near the end ended up looking like fools.

So it's too complicated to explicitly state that there is 2 genders, but you consider yourself an academic, and you wonder why we make fun of academics.

It's human nature, isn't it? -- Just a different version of the other guys being over paid and not working as hard as we do, even though we're a lot smarter than they are.

Ha ha ha. I like the Venezuela thing. I have some renters. They pay their rent but are a royal pain in the ass, always!!! They happen to be from some Spanish speaking country, but I do not know which one. I was telling some good friends what a pain in the ass these two renters are. My friends, both of whom are world travelers and speak Spanish, and one is from South America, said in unison, "Oh, they must be from Venezuela!" :D

I would rather use facts and reality to make an informed decision. You should try it sometime. Do you still believe Lanny Davis?

Lanny Davis Says He Was A Source For CNN’s Trump Tower Story
Davis, Michael Cohen’s lawyer and spokesperson, said he also regrets lying about his involvement in the story on CNN last week.

Attorney Lanny Davis says he was an anonymous source in a July CNN story that reported his client, Michael Cohen, had privately claimed that President Trump had advance knowledge of the infamous Trump Tower meeting between his son and Russians — contradicting Davis's own words on CNN's air last week.

Yes. I believed what he said about his prior statement. Didn't Davis saw he could not confirm that cohen's remark about Trump's knowledge was "accurate". I believe the best source regarding the extent of trumps involvement in the Russian Hacking will be Manafort. I believe manafort knew about the Russian Hacking capabilities at least since his campaign consulting work for the Russian Friendly, Victor Yanukovych, Ukraine President. I think it was manafort who was the original contact between the Trump Campaign and the Russian Hacking Operation. In fact, I think Manafort probably sold himself to Trump on the basis of "I know 'some folks' that can help us." At one time I thought Cohen might have served as a courier of information, and possibly even money, between the Trump campaign and the Hacking operation. But Since Davis has said Cohen was not in Prague in the last week of Aug or first week of Sept, 2016 I am less certain now of what Cohen's role was, if any, re contact with Russians. Cohen was in Germany but apparently not Prague. We are going to have to wait for more stuff from Mueller's group or new flipper stuff. (Have you been to Prague? Old part beautiful. New part, dismal Soviet Era Concrete. Best Beer in the world. )
