His campaign - not mine and I think you have to evaluate the office that the potentially ill or recovered person is running for. One could probably easily conclude that if a Senator raises some serious concerns about their long term viability that the Senate is just a talky-talky job and so there is no big risk to anything as long as they can press a button and vote. However, if a person is running for president and loses two months on the trail then it is not necessarily mocking them to think long and hard about what you are getting into. True, Bernie had a heart attack, but also true, he got up in running again VERY quickly so it did not hurt him. UsualTard keeps reminding me that he is the right man for PA no matter what and I agree that Senator is not that critical job. Go for it. The goal is just to have a dem in the position for many. If he is able to sit up and take fluids, well he exceeds job expectations. For president people are a little more cautious these days, especiall given the mess we are in now with our Cardboard Cut-Out President.
The funny thing is that if Joe Biden is a cardboard cutout and more productive than your guy what does that say?
The operative word in that sentence is "IF." 75% of the people in the country think that the country is headed in the wrong direction. He is the best president illegals, human traffickers, criminals, Putin, Xi, and the Taliban ever had.
If you take a look at the breakdown of the 75% of people who think the country is going in the wrong direction -- half of them blame Republicans with the Big Lie, insurrection, abortion stance, financial stances, and a host of other problems.
If that is what you dems need to tell yourself to hold your psyche's together, that is fine. Otherwise, the right direction/wrong direction poll is usually the most critical and reliable indicator of how a sitting president is doing and if you are in trouble on that, you are in trouble. Nor surprisingly, Biden has the worse score evah.
No. The worst score ever was in 2008. What you are not telling is that what polls are showing is that both parties and leaders are viewed almost with exactly the same disapproval. Which is odd before a midterm. Usually it’s the president’s party out of favor because Americans actually want divided government. And what is important to note is how lowly regarded Scotus has become by the American people. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/22156173-220455-nbc-news-august-poll-82122-release
We honestly won’t have a good idea until people vote in November. Right now enthusiasm is tracking pretty paltry for both parties and about even. I am starting to think some Republican voters have sort of pulled back after Dobbs.
