Quite possible. But don't forget that Stacey is on the ballot too and when it comes to getting out the vote, well, she has large "coat-tails." Yep. Living large with Stacey. She is not going to win but her get out the vote machine will drive a lot of dems to the polls. But it would be the economic factors getting worse rather than the candidates as the driver if so- methinks. Biden working on his next two SPR releases already- lol. He will do one right off but has to be sure that there is at least some oil left to do another right before the election. Hey, it is good to have a plan. Of course it has no impact on the price of gas but whatsoever. It makes Joe and the dems look like action figures. Not so much over in Saudi-land though.
Hmmmm. $3.93 national average Georgia: Tap the SPR again, and they'll be paying $1.50/gallon. Times are good under Joe.
Well, yes. And these SPR releases amount to what?- a few days worth of national consumption? As I said, he talks about releasing SPR oil because he thinks it makes him look like an action figure, not because there is any good rationale or economics behind it. One can make a better case that he should be purchasing and replenishing now instead. With oil supply being limited and war in the air it is not a good time to be assuming you are going to wait and replenish at a lower cost. That day may or may not come. Best not to even release. Of course, Biden says it is for a national emergency and I guess the midterms are what he considers an emergency. My comment were "if" gas surges it would have a negative impact, not that it will. And if inflation surging continues, which it is. Keep in mind that Biden is the one talking about SPR release based on Saudi cuts and other surprises/predictable events/unpredictable events. Saudis are off colluding with Russia as we know. And we know that they want to punish Biden bigtime at the polls. So I am saying "if." I cannot rule it out just because current prices are okay. As I said, Joe be the one talking about the SPR releases. If there is no need to worry well then why is he doing that and why is he talking about SPR release or at least trying to run it up the flagpole to see if anyone salutes? Apparently he is digesting the impact of the Saudi cuts in ways that need to be more fully understood. I don't have enough information yet. In general though, I do not like to see the Saudis meeting with Russia to see how they can participate in cutting America's balls off. Nothing good can come of that. So additional surprises are not out of the question before the elections. The limits — and possibilities — Biden faces in ordering more SPR releases https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...t/limits-and-possibilities-biden-spr-releases
No my only point in posting that was it doesn't appear folks in GA are feeling quite the same sting of fuel prices the rest of the country is. $4+/gallon would probably help Walker. Well maybe. It's funny... (as fate would have it), a few hours ago a friend of mine that lives outside Atlanta, black guy, he called to ask me something about one of the games today and I asked him what he thought of Walker. His answer, and I quote lol: "He's a fucking idiot." This guy's pretty down to earth too. Not a big Trump fan, but by no means a lefty. His answer actually surprised me tbh. He's not the type to vote either way, but he's done well for himself and he certainly has a finger on the pulse of the world around him. I guess we'll see. You can't tell me Oz isn't more intelligent than that yoyo Fetterman though. With or without a stroke.
Dems are worried though. I heard earlier today that Obama is going down to campaign for Rafael Warlock. That says something about the tightness of it. Also says something about Biden. Frigging Warlock would not commit in the debate to supporting Joe Biden 2024 and he wants Biden to stay the hell away. But Warlock needs the help so what are you going to do? Sending Obama down seems to be the answer. Not a bad plan for what they have to work with. Won't save Stacey though. Plus it gives Barry a chance to get away from all those migrants on Martha's Vineyard for a day.
The Des Moines Register probably has the most accurate polling record in the country. I know Iowa isn’t in contention but the fact that it is this close says a lot. Still a lot of politcking to go but this is interesting.
Some real losers in the line-up even though they totally protected by being in solid blue states. Patty Murray- Jeeesuzz H. She should have been put out to pasture long ago. Anyway, the underdiscussed and close race there is Ohio. Tim Ryan is sort of an arsehole but he is a fixture there and should not be at risk against Vance but he is. And he is frozen like a deer in the headlights where he needs outside help but dast not bring in Biden and probably not Obama (not sure what they will do there) because that is risky too. Vance damaged him badly in the recent debate though. Ryan looked shell shocked.
