Yes...well physical age was same but Lennox was still just near his prime and Tyson was definitely done. Lennox jabbed him the whole fight and poudned his face while Tyson could do nothing...
I'm not a boxing guy but I recall once hearing that Tyson was like the million dollar baby film, he could win with knockout in the first couple of rounds but if a fighter blocked him and absorbed, he ran out of puff. This is why (along with too much theatrics) he is not a top ten boxer. Tyson only had ten more fights on him in 1992. Its true guys age differently but Lewis won by KO in the 8th by just not letting Tyson knock him out early. Prince Naseem was similar I think, he specialised in KO which is a win but one trick ish.
Trump will not resign — and regrets posting video condemning the violent insurrection he incited: NYT https://www.rawstory.com/trump-will-not-resign/ President Donald Trump is resisting bipartisan demands he resign from office after the violent insurrection by his supporters resulted in five deaths as they stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. At the White House, Mr. Trump struck a defiant tone, insisting that he would remain a potent force in American politics even as aides and allies abandoned him and his post-presidential prospects turned increasingly bleak. Behind closed doors, he made clear that he would not resign and expressed regret about releasing a video on Thursday committing to a peaceful transition of power and condemning the violence at the Capitol that he had egged on a day before," The New York Times reported Friday evening. Trump posted the video on Twitter, which has subsequently permanently suspended his account. When he tried to tweet from a different account, the tweets were deleted within 10 minutes. The video was seen as a betrayal by his most die-hard supporters.
There was basically 4 versions of Tyson. The young Cus De Amato/Keven Rooney trained Tyson,The Tyson after De amato died and Rooney stopped training him,the post prison Tyson and the post Holyfied Tyson. The young Cus De Amato/Keven Rooney trained Tyson was an undefeated beast, probably would have beat any fighter in history imo. The Tyson after De amato died and Rooney stopped training him was good but lazy,no discipline, partying, celebrity lifestyle, not training etc.Thats the Tyson that lost to Douglas. The post prison Tyson was after he spent years in jail and than returned to the ring.He was still good, still had knockout power, but stopped boxing and trying to set up the knockout and just swung for knockouts with haymaker left hooks and right crosses. If his opponents defense was bad and they couldn't take a punch he could still beat them. After the Holyfield fights he was suspended and came back as pure shit.Thats the version Lennox Lewis fought.Lennox at that time was still near his prime.
I'm making this right now @wildchild, I'll get to you after lunch. Another four day lock down here, tired of delays with gasses.
True. The.early Tyson was a beast and lightning fast. By the time if Buster he was party and money and no serious training...happens to so many boxers. Prison, Robin Givens and losing Cus ruined him. Watch his training videos.from first few years and the look in his eyes. Then see when he lost to Buster and came out of Prison. He was a shell and did not even want to fight..did it for.money since he was ruined. So sad what Don King..promoters ...managers and entourages can do to a poor kid who doesnt know any better. I love the early training videos of Tyson..the speed.and power! Todays heavyweights who plod and jab and slow and bore me...
On it. I voted three times in the GE. Once in Incline Village, once in Reno, once in San Diego. The Cali vote was for the down ballot.
