  2. buy nothing but the amd 64 bit or the pentium centurion chip period. i bought that cheap toshbia for $499 after rebate with the cleron chip and it took 3 minutes toi boot up then frooze. took it back and got the hp pavilion with the cenurion chip and it rocks. better to pay up and get a good chip

  4. just get a dell. i think it's cheaper than hp.

    i have the 700m (now replaced by 710m), it's good. i been using it for almost 2 years, and it still running great. it's also light so you don't get shoulder pain when u carry it around. And it fit your budget too.

  6. Can some one tell me that when purchasing a laptop do you look mainly at the MB like 128 256 or 512 or you look at the Intel chip
    What is the main thing a person should look while purchasing a laptop in your opinion
    had some good deal with 256 MB for $650 free shipping

    I suggest at least 512mb RAM.
    If you need to be mobile, then a 14 in widescreen is preferred and a Pentinum M processor will give give you longer battery life.
    Otherwise, a 15.4 widescreen should provide a good desktop replacement. I have used HP, Dell and Sony and they are all good. I just get the one that best suit my budget at the time.

  9. again go with the amd 64 or intc centrioun chip. the lesser cleron or mad sucks the power out of the battery and the bootup time is awful. its worth paying $300more
