Looking like Warren will be the nominee, what do you think?

  1. Warren and Booker as the P/VP candidate is like the DNC saying to Trump, "We are not even going to try..."

Disagree.I dont like Booker but black voters will come out for him if he is on the ticket and Warren can get as many white votes as Hillary imo.

  3. Maybe but they are too far left. You need candidate that is going to win what HRC lost and they don't seem like the ticket. Your premise is that Black voters will only come out if there is a Black candidate rather than come out and vote for a good candidate. I think they are smarter than to just vote blindly for color. Give Black voters some credit, they will vote their interests just like every other group in the U.S.

Warren and Booker are just going to get support from people who ALREADY were going to vote Dem no matter what. Dems need to swing back independents, unsatisfied GOP, undecideds etc.

  4. Yeh, Warren would like to pick Duval Patrick as her obligatory black if she is nominated but that dog don't hunt either. Both on the ticket from Massachusetts? ahhh, no.

And if she picks the Castro boy, then that does not get her any black votes, or any more, I should say. I think she has 40 or 50 now. Little joke there, or not.

And of course neither the hispanics or black voters see Buttigieg as a champion for them- maybe they are happy for him because he is not stupid like the others, but that doesnt get you much, maybe Secretary of Housing or something. Nothing on the ticket.

    Patrick is not far left.

The vote that Hillary lost most was black voters not coming out.Hillary's 2016 white vote count and Obamas 2012 white vote count are about even which is why she got 3 million more votes.Black voter turnout dropped around 10% though, many in the big cities of PA,MI and WI.She also lost votes from progressives/Bernie Bros staying home.

Blacks always vote their best interest, which is democrats, but their turnout varies wildly.Their turnout is highest when they really hate the republican or when there is a black person as a candidate. The 2020 candidate should make sure both are covered imo.

Hillary didn't lose that many votes from voters switching over.Trump got fewer overall votes than Obama 2008,Obama 2012 and Hillary 2016 even though The US population was higher than 2008 and 2012.Minorities and progressives staying home was a bigger problem than moderates switching over imo.

Not necessarily imo.To much a centrist white candidate might make minorities and progressives stay home like they did with Hillary imo.

Trump's going to lose to anybody. He's been that bad and most of his policies ( eg trade wars ) can only make things worse between now and the election. Now he's threatening to go to war with Iran which is insanity, another sign he's lost his marbles.

  10. Just got an email from Warren's campaign. They are pissed at me for not making a donation so that I can enter their contest to have a beer with her and discuss her.

Honestly, I dont know what is holding me back. Probably just feeling insecure about whether I could ever be worthy of such an honor.

A chance to drink firewater with the Injun. What could go wrong there?
