You can bet on one thing for sure, whoever gets the nod will have Obama out stumping for them bigtime. Now I know what you're going to say, that it didn't help Hillary. True, but I think the hate for Trump is so strong that Obama will capitalize on that and really run with it. African Americans will decide this election... one way or the other.
I think that Obama will make selective appearances and make great speeches while he is there and also make spiffy comments from up on Mount Olympus. He can do that and do it well and it promotes Brand Obama which is what he does best. This election cycle is a mixed bag for him. He thought that it would be just a matter of watching everyone scramble to see who could be the next Obama and watch everyone pining for the good old days. But it has not gone that. The progressives have turned on him and trashed his legacy as though it happened fifty years ago. Some of that has toned down in the last couple weeks but only because the message went out that it would not help the dems to go further down that road, but underlying sentiment is still there. When he selectively campaigns for the dems, he will be walking into an environment where dem primary voters will have just completed the process of totally trashing Obama's VP. An inconvenient little factoid that will loom large in the background when he speaks. I see no joy in Mudville anywhere for dems right now. Doesnt mean that they can't win, but I dont see any big styrofoam greek columns in background as with Obama or tingles going up anyone's leg. It is going to be a long, unhappy slog. Also, everyone knows that Obama has always been hot for Kamala so that is not an easy pivot for him over to Warren or some other loser.
Six-Year-Old Saying, 'Why Don't We Just Give Everything Away For Free?' Surges To Top Of Democratic Polls U.S.—A new candidate has come out of nowhere to surge in the polls in the Democratic primary, and she’s only six years old. Susie Peters of Minneapolis, Minnesota, was on a local news segment where children gave their opinions on world problems, and she asked, “Why can’t we just give everyone everything they want for free?” The message quickly went viral and really resonated with Democratic voters, propelling Susie from unknown to third in most polls, ahead of Bernie Sanders and just behind Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden. "She really has a plan for everything,” said Melinda Carlson, one of Susie’s enthusiastic supporters. “While Elizabeth Warren only has a plan for getting people free health care and free college, Susie has a plan to get everyone free everything. She’s truly a visionary.” Her new candidacy has upset some of the other candidates, with Bernie Sanders accusing Susie of stealing all his ideas. Others say the math in her plans doesn’t add up, to which Susie says she doesn’t like math and instead likes “Twilight Sparkle.” And President Trump has taken notice, vowing to trounce Susie in the general since Trump himself can “read and write at the level of an eight-year-old.” There are also concerns Susie may be gaffe-prone like Joe Biden, as one day at school Susie referred to her teacher as "Mommy" by mistake, prompting a round of laughter from her classmates. Still, Susie has unveiled her new popular campaign slogan, “But I want it!” and has already qualified for the next Democratic presidential debate, though she may not be able to attend since it will be on past her bedtime. https://babylonbee.com/news/six-yea...ay-for-free-surges-to-top-of-democratic-polls
1. Biden has not been knocked down for his debate performance or from Trump constantly attacking him. He has actually gotten stronger. 2. Biden is not as miserable as you say. Let’s face it, Joe Biden would be twice the president as Trump with half of his brain. The pathway for the black vote is in the moderate column. I have explained this, AAs are the most moderate voters in the American electorate. Don’t ask me why, it just is what it is.
In regard to #1, I see all that. And I have conceded many times over for months that my statement that Biden will not get the nomination is not supported by the data and and all of the data is at odds with that statement. But that is my statement. BIDEN WILL NOT GET THE NOMINATION. LET'S REPEAT THAT: BIDEN WILL NOT GET THE NOMINATION. And yes this is a chance to disgrace myself and end out eating crow. Fine. He is programmed internally and by external forces to self-destruct. Just need to add time into the mix. In regard to #2, refer to my comment above. Since Biden will not be getting the nomination, woulda, coulda, shoulda stuff relative to Biden versus Trump is irrelevant.
I’m starting to think you’re scared of Joe Biden, homie. Regardless, we are heading for the sharknado of recessions. I’d worry more about whether the fed can delay that through 2020 more than who is going to get the democrat nomination if I was you.
If I were Biden, I'd be very afraid of the Sea Goddess Tulsi. Very afraid. Her hypnotic cadence hints of vast unseen powers. You could ask Kamala Harris about that. One shot and she was down, like Sonny Liston. Biden is a far easier target. There was a downside to taking on Harris and missing. There is no such downside with Biden, due to the complex rules of progressive victimology. "Down goes Liston."
If Tulsi takes out Biden in the next debate, I could hear Warren: Warren: "Tulsi, well done, you're making a strong case for VP." Tulsi, eyeing Warren: " You're looking like next."
