    Now the help:

The only thing on Ebay, for $310:

This guy bought a gaming keyboard and reprogrammed it:

These are dealing room keyboards, but maybe programmable:

(The last 2 on the list are programmable.)

Here is how you do a search: you can just google "trading keyboard" but that probably gives you too many hits. So instead you can choose Image in Google and it shows the actual trading keyboards and you click on what you like.

    No charge for Google 101.....

Hey Chris, Pekelo did a great job listing the better ones to use so I'll just add my opinion to his list.

The GMK is nice but pretty intense when trying to program it. There's something like 26 layers to go through and if the LCD breaks by a coffee spill, what do you do? This is better for controlling 6 or so very different computers.

Access is fully programmable and has a good program interface. Good for controlling one basic function PC. The plastic case makes it a little on the flimsy side and the keys are more laptop type to me, I like a good solid key press like the old school gray Bloomberg Kb's

The Mighter Spot Keyboard is great as it's plug and play and doesn't need power- but if you only need to control one PC this may be overkill as it's built as a multifunction.
Their programmable USB keypads would do the trick for single PC access and are solid - I use the 7x9 for my trading and my buddy at GS also uses a version of their keypad.

  3. If anyone's still interested in this topic -

Nice easy layouts with no miss-presses in the heat of the moment.

They have their own programmable interface for use with specific trading platforms (Ongoing fee) or you can buy outright the keyboard base and then choose what key-caps you need and build your own custom setup ( http://www.keyboardtrader.com/customized-trading-keyboard.html ). Its all built on the Access-is base and you have free use of the Access-is programmable interface with the custom option. KeyboardTrader have a nice selection of key-caps that can be purchased with the base.

The Access-is program should be more then enough to set up a interface to more complex programming using something like AutoHotKey that should give you the ability to do pretty much anything you want.

AutoHotKey has a lot of ability once you dig into it.

Automated recording interface (Based on AutoHotKey) that will record your actions and output the code for you, plus a lot of other abilities.

You can always set up the same sort of thing with any normal QWERTY programmable keyboard and it would probably only cost $70-120 all in.

Its up to the user as to what your really trying to get out of it
