  1. Hey again I mainly trade the Dow JP225 plus gold And a few other smaller things like Nasdaq But I do the best when I focus on 1 instrument At a time

I used to own a small proprietary trading firm but we never got enough customers to get off the ground

Now I'm looking at creative ways to strengthen my own trading

I have a $100,000 account funded with goat funded trader

    Open to many ideas

    Hey Matt,

Ok sounds good man. It seems like we are watching the same or similar markets.
I was primarily focusing on gold over the past few months but have felt like I'm wasting valuable time when it goes sideways for a week or 2.

Hence I have started looking in other markets (Nasdaq, Dax, Dow, BTC, etc) trying to figure out where better opportunities might be. But, like you, I have found (at least for now) I can only trade one market at a time, so I'm trying to figure out what my selection criteria could be going forward.

That's great to hear you've got the funded account!! One step closer to the goal.

What sessions (Asia, eur, US) do you usually trade?
What is your current approach or methodology/strategy for your trading?

I'm still trying to find consistency but I'm more than happy to run you through my current technical setup I'm refining and/or anything else I am doing if you're interested

I don't miss trading at all, once you have automation it can be running 24 hours a day. I get decent sleep, do what I want and when I want. Days of helping others by answering same questions 50 times a week are so over in chat rooms.

Problems with chat rooms is hardly anyone is decent trader and all the others tailcoat trades.

Unfortunately it seems like most people come to forums and chat rooms to escape from their trading, not to improve it.

How long have you been running the automated system for? It sounds like you've got things running pretty smoothly by this point.

I would like to join this group. I have been successful in trading during the last 3 years. Initial success came from commodities. But the market timing did not align with my sleep cycle. So I moved to Indian stock futures. I do fundamental research on the side and am a long term investor too. In the US markets, I am just an investor in shares. I trade Indian stock futures. I find the markets are the same all over the world. One just need to fine tune one's approach and give top priority to understanding risk. Let me know if I can join.

Yeah man, I'd be happy to have you join.

I'm working on a bit of stuff today so give me a day or 2 and I'll set up a telegram or whatsapp group for us and we can go over all of our stuff in detail and get each other up to speed on what we are all doing.

Started late 1990s, always was improving long term commodities system, took several years learn programming scalping systems, then employed programmers as systems I developed became more complexed when I added physics. Every year till end of 2024 have improved. I have run out of ideas, systems have become best that I can accomplish. Trading has become boring now, do anything for nearly 50 years....

That's great to hear man. Congrats on staying the path and figuring it out!

Do you still focus on commodities or have you spread out to other markets as well?

    That's interesting.
How did you include physics in your system?
Is it a way of measuring momentum/inertia or "gravitational" pull towards certain levels?

    I'm intrigued
