Definitely nothing wrong with paying for mentoring or teaching a system. ... but even if their system makes money for the teacher, make sure their system fits with your personality/lifestyle, otherwise you won't make a cent
I think you are much better off coming up with your own plan/setups. You are much more likely to stick to it rather than if you have copied off someone else.
Live training every day with lectures and the why of a trade, is very different to a straight signal service. That's why I mentioned mentoring
Sorry I mistyped it's about £120 a month on IB and I really hate that platform. In fact I have no need for online trading. All the best, good people.
Thanks for posting the link. Yes, I show a real trade every Saturday using Friday's closing prices and for education purposes will run to expiry but sometimes close out within the expiry cycle. I have no ambition to take money off people for this education. It's not a scam, trading is hard enough.
I don't know about backtesting, but thinkScript is good for getting and manipulating IV with scripts and algorithms.
You can get "Real Time" Option Prices for UK (FTSE100 Index/Equities) for No-Charge directly from the ICE Exchange https://www.theice.com/marketdata/reports/265
They used to be 15 minute delayed when provided by Euronext/Liffe, but are now provided in Real Time by ICE Exchange Like you, I have only traded FTSE Options for the last 20 years, and have built a system to import the data from the ICE Exchange, so I might just have an inkling on whether data is Delayed or Real-Time I can illustrate that Real-Time if you still disagree; - Market Opens at 8:01AM - Just check at 8:02AM any Morning - If showing just Settlement Prices then Prices are delayed - If showing Bid-Ask for Market Prices then Real Time Feel free to check this on Monday :-}}
