Might start a thread in trading forum based on the Aussie market. Think we have hijacked this thread enough
... to answer this question .. LiveVol with the Excel data feed, as it has delta based IV's ... or Tradier for the same reason ... but Tradier doesn't give accounts to Aussies, because we're all ex-convicts ...
For the avoidance of doubt, what I stated is fact. I have been trading UK options since 1999. I cannot hold stocks in my account, it's purely options. The ONLY free options data we get is 15 mins delayed.(weirdly they quote prices at the open ). I have to phone in my orders. There is only IB to trade strategies online for UK options and the cost of their frankly lousy live data is about £10 a month. I place 30-40 trades a year, use limit orders as I trade near month- 6 months hence. And yes my broker's name begins withan 'A'. Saxo bank have an ok platform, basic and functional.
I only trade the index and NO. I have done the hard yards, but for twenty grand I'll give you the key to making a living for life. Equity options are a punt as far asI'm concerned. An added complication with less chance of success.
I heard about Thinkorswim. It offers a wide range of tools, features, and functionalities to assist traders in analyzing markets, executing trades, and managing their portfolios. You can check it.
Yes first choice, but unfortunately no longer available for most Europeans, not even the play money version. Same with Charles Schwab.
Yes, only options on index and index futures for me as well. Twenty grand is a fair price but I took the expensive lessons of (option seller) life already. Just wanted to learn if you changed your strategies over the last years. Thanks and all the best
You will get a fair idea of what he/she does at their blog they write. http://optionsinvesting.co.uk/category/strategies/
