How about stopping this chit-chat and showing some metrics about your past 20 years of live trading? If you're serious, it shouldn't be a problem to disclose those info.
Success, measured in money, bedazzles us on these boards. No amount of wordsmithing will win people over here. Its all been heard before.
Hes already covered himself for this common sense enquiry. Due to regulations in his country, hes not able to keep records.
Thank you for the suggestion. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to offer a workaround. Unfortunately, the constraints aren’t on the receiving country’s side, but on mine. My country enforces stringent capital controls and international transaction reporting obligations. Even if a UK-based entity were established, transferring funds to it would violate local financial regulations, with serious legal consequences. That said, it’s always valuable to hear different perspectives, and I respect the creative thinking. And just so you know how deep this runs, my country even blocks access to trading platforms, brokerage websites, and forums like this one. I literally have to use a VPN just to be here having this conversation. That’s the environment I’ve been trading in for 20 years.
Appreciate the curiosity, but before making assumptions from a Western context, understand that not all jurisdictions play by the same rules. In my country, capital controls, trading bans, and financial surveillance are a daily reality. The liquidity problem isn’t because I’ve blown accounts or mismanaged funds, it’s because I’ve spent two decades building a system under conditions where most of you couldn’t even open a demo account without a VPN. I’ve risked my capital, my time, and more importantly... to even access markets at all. If you think that disqualifies me from serious conversation, feel free to move along. Before anyone else chimes in, please take a moment to read my entire post. Skimming half the story and firing off judgments helps no one. Context matters. Not every trader walks the same path!
Dude, how about starting a thread in the ‘journal’ section and posting your trades with entry points, stop-losses, and exits? There’s nothing stopping you from doing that. Since you’re seeking > $1,000,000 in capital, this seems like a very reasonable and necessary request.
That’s awesome. no one cares. You put your own capital up. You show a real track record. You share your strategy so that investors understand what they are getting into. You setup the legal structure and the compliance especially since you live in an unnamed country that is highly regulated. if not, then there’s a 1000 other funds do all that. Any they have 20 year track records and have spent the last 20 years refining their process.
