Dear members of Elitetrader, As many of you know, I'm opening my hedge fund in a few weeks. I am looking for long term investment ideas for the fund. More specifically, I'm looking for a few very hard working people who are frequently online and would like to work together to generate long term (over a year in duration) investment ideas. I am looking for individuals who have good understanding of accounting and who view themselves as value investors. I generally look for small cap/microcap (market cap and liquidity are not factors to me in investment selection) companies that are selling at under 4 or 5X next year's cash flow and that are growing cash flow generation at a good clip, usually over 20% a year. These companies also must have shareholder friendly managements who either own large portions of the companies they run, or are agressive open market purchasers of their company's stock. Obviously, there are very few such companies, but that's why I am looking for others who can help me to find them. LOL !!! I'm looking for the next THV and DDN basically. I already found those 2, and about a half dozen more, I'm looking for maybe a dozen or more for about 20 total names.
What exactly did you have in mind. I was thinking more along the lines of we share ideas, look for flaws in them, and generate new ideas so that we both profit more.... What did you have in mind?
This didn't get quite the feedback (any) that I had hoped for. I'm going to post this one last time and then give up. I guess that most of you are VERY short term in orientation and that's probably why most of you are unprofitable. Nothing wrong with that. We all go to this casino with different objectives..... I scalp around too.
I meant no insult, and I'd be happy to work with anyone. I had honestly hoped to get quite a few replies as I posted this last night. I have yet to get one.
so you are asking for ideas that may or may not line your pocket with money, you are not patient, offer nothing in return and yet you wonder why no replies.....hmmmmmmm Sounds great....I will look for a company that fits your criteria and forward it to you....peace
