I have been downloading stats from livecharts and putting it into excel but thats a pain. Does anyone know of some inexpensive charting software or free that I can import this data into and use? Just learning and studying now so I don't want to spend a ton of moola. Any help is appreciated.
Sierra Chart (www.sierrachart.com). It's what I use. You can import ascii data into a chart, but only 1 symbol at a time. Here's a link to get you started: http://boardserver.superstats.com/r...errachart&id=131&thread=117&f=1&u=Sierrachart As for price they're $40 for a 6-month license which is the cheapest out there for what I think is excellent charting. --opm8
Ensign for Windows is good for studying (I mean the Internet version with delayed quotes), and it's only $40 a month, but SierraChart may suit you better. wally_
It's about a $100 one time and if you're just interested in daily data there's no monthly charge - they have a free download utility that pulls off Yahoo.
I have Wall Street Analyzer. Decent software and scripting env. but u can use it with only daily quotes from Yahoo
Extremely low price. In fact I would go so far as to say you can't beat their price. But wait, there's more!
