I can learn from anyone who has something to teach. Since I never title posts I didn't know the title did not show. Here is the title I put on here to make it clear. Your choice to believe or not. Re: Re: Re: Re: Other Recommended Threads About Pullbacks To The 1 Minute EMA
Swan if you use a trend filter, i.e. a 200 period moving average, and randomly enter in the direction of the trend and combine it with 2.5 ATR stop and a 3 ATR target you will have a profitable system. This tests out as profitable in every futures market. Obviously it isn't the holy grail but it's a start. She doesn't have some secret trading methodology that only she knows. You see why it's profitable to buy pullbacks? Start matching it up on multiple timeframes and it's pretty nice. It really doesn't even matter where you enter provided you place a stop outside the noise and don't try to hit homeruns. Go do some work.

How does that test out positive in any market? It tests negative in every time frame in every market. Takes 2 seconds to run a test like that with decent software.
Are you ill or just misinformed? A random entry system with no trend filter is profitable if you use the right risk parameters. Sorry to burst your angry bubble but the most important thing in any methodology are the exit strategies. That's all I gave him.
Just ill maybe. Get defensive much? Takes two seconds to test 200ma's and random entries and atr stops and all that to see its not profitable. Why r u mad at the data?
First, I used i.e., as in for example, a 200 day MA as a filter. I didn't mean to say that was the perfect filter. I don't really know if that is a valid trend filter for what I described. It's been a while since I tested a lot of that stuff. Are you really going to try and tell me that trend following isn't a robust methodology? Sorry, I didn't just drop some mega profitable system in his lap. Buying pullbacks or selling retracements is profitable and robust. I'm not being defensive I just don't really want to have some dick waving contest with you which is the way this is going. Enjoy your night.
