Sorry, I just reread this and need to correct/clarify. For some reason I thought the OP was talking about options. IB does not charge extra for direct-routing stock orders.
30.10 * 30.11 --------> I have found over the long haul if you try to get filled as long w/ a buy limit order, moving it up until filled your avg cost of entry will be > 30.11
