Who told you this, then? I asked @Topstep this in December 2022. My understanding is that TopStep will provide you with say a $5K drawdown which effectively is your account size. If you run that account up to $20K, $50K or $100K - that's your money to withdraw at that point. And if you withdraw it, there's no additional funding provided. Now, if Topstep would recognize a good trader and give him additional funding/capital that would be a fantastic opportunity, but as I understand it that's not an option they're providing. Now, it could still be a worthwhile option to pursue even if they wouldn't give you additional capital.
EDIT: I decided to edit my post as it seemed too harsh. Just will say what the other person said if you read the post deeper you will understand there's no direct conflict.
I asked a simple question about two posts from one user which were in conflict with each other. The answer was effectively "Look at my posts, and figure it out yourself." I apologize for pointing out @whygodwhy started out trying to deceive the readers here.
That's fair enough, as long as you hold other users to this same standard, which I doubt you do, but that is just an assumption to be fair, it's possible I am wrong. To be more exact so many people here are pretty clearly bs'ing and wasting people's time, there's a high probability of that based on logical reasoning at worst, even if it can't necessarily be 100% verified. Than again if you seriously called everyone out you wouldn't have many people to post and interact with, so from that angle I understand. At any rate this conversation isn't adding value to either of us and is very unlikely to benefit either of us if we can continue it. So, I will take responsibility for initiating and wasting both of our time. Enjoy your Sunday and I mean that genuinely, not trying to give a sarcastic ending to my post.
I admire guys who speaks/writes a lot and still are interesting, even without any substance. I wish I could do that.
haha. I truly don't understand. Is your sleight of hand unknowingly fooling yourself as well, or just for the benefit of fooling others? Here's the reason I say that. I've made my intentions incredibly clear(granted it took more post than it should, already apologized and admitted to that) and am willing to speak on voice, meet in person and can do something very few people here can. Your first post arguably already proved you lack imagination and it certainly said you're unwilling to help. You literally admitted you were asking a question largely for your own benefit and because you wanted. There's nothing wrong with that, but you follow it up with a clearly smart ass remark as well. At least there's a mission I am on. You seem to be here for your sole entertainment and to only benefit yourself(at the very least on this thread). Ever heard of a mutual value exchange? Even if it's true some of my post drag on and don't say a lot on an individual level. On the big picture that isn't the case. You can have your opinion and I can have mine. I have no issues with that, it's fine if we disagree. Just to be clear I am not going to keep entertaining people that are just here purely for their own amusement and benefit. If someone want's to post a logical thought through post, than I am more than happy to correspond.
FWIW, I was giving you a compliment I guess I was not clear enough. Some guys just see the bad side of everything....
Specifics? I reached out to them to ask, but feel free to fill me in meanwhile. Personally, it's not really interesting for me if they only offer $4500, but if they would stake a trader it could easily be worth my while.
