You're kidding, right? WTF does the OP know about training other people to discover their inner traders? Meanwhile he gets 100 newbie wannabes to reveal their newly discovered trading systems to him for free. Last time he got lucky two times out of 100. Not bad for doing nothing but passing along some self-help psychobabble. Who knows how many new working methods he'll get this time?

As scams go, it's brilliant. No money changes hands but something even more valuable. -- ideas that generate money. My hats off to Frederick for seeing this setup. Good scam, good revelation.

I don't want to spend anymore time on this and God knows I do not wish to seek confrontation.
I do not see the OP offering to help people find their "inner trader," though I have to say I do not even know what that could possibly mean.

I do know the value I found in maintaining a journal, taking notes on my observations, back testing and forward testing my hypotheses and so on. I still do these things.

All the OP proposes, in my opinion, is to help those interested to put themselves on s similar path to what I think I recognize as having worked for me.

So you can call it a scam, but those less cynical who still remember the path that brought them from beginner to winner will likely see it for what it appears to be. Again, anything is possible, and I am not vouching for or recommending the OP to anyone. But I do think I understand the process he is proposing, and I do not see it as controversial.

Perhaps someone who reached out to the OP will follow up here down the road a piece and let us know how it went.

  3. He insulted my line drawing.. He drew blood.. No one insults my line drawing and I mean no one... Plus I only said he was acting like a asswipe not that he was an asswipe.. Big difference there.

I like to draw lines... Lots and lots of lines. If only Jack Hershey could see me now.

  4. Well there is one person on this site who has been known to try and pry away other traders "working strategies" while bashing TA at every turn...

So only 2% of those you have tried to teach are good enough to get funded? And the rest are what?

It is very difficult to mentor others, too often they have many problems dealing with discipline, unwilling to do what is asked of them, unwilling to do sim till they are able to show profitability. And there is much to remember and be able to do in bleak of an eye.

  6. I don't think Jack Heysey would be interested in this debate cos he was only interested in helping others

No one knows his intentions, he may or may not be scamming. Only those who respond to him in PM will know for sure.

Do you not find it odd though that the OP posts under a new Alias? Apparently he is a long time member of ET, however, he sees the need to change his Nick...
Perhaps he is paying it forward
    Perhaps his intentions are honorable

New nick, no details of performance, no transparency....

The concern beyond it being an attempted scam is the case for the blind leading the blind.
Poor newbies blindly following someone who is not much more than a newbie himself.

If you read between the lines:

Developed a method to get new people....
    Huge pilot ... 2%... (imply's minimum of 50 people)
    Hurry up and reply...

One can't help but be skeptical...

If truly desire to just help people, why not just post the proposed "method", disclose previous ET username(s) and proceed in journal format...

  8. One should have been skeptical with the lack of posting history...As others have mentioned, the multi-alias trolls "stockpile" their sockpuppets for future use...The flaw is always apparent...even though they've created a nice bundle of troll persona's, they almost never build up a post history with them...then, out of nowhere, the sockpuppet will show up and just have too much familiarity with the topic or with other members of the thread...It's always a dead giveaway...

Now, I could spoil the suspense and tell you who this latest "stealth vendor" appears to be...but that would ruin the fun (and no it's not who I originally suspected)...

  10. Yeah, these guys are never clever...There are a litany of threads around here that are started by low post alter-aliases and then within minutes a half dozen other sockpuppets show up to support the OP...It should just be called "stealth vendor" sockpuppet S.O.P...
