I am in your shoes. What is the fair fee structure you would be accepted if you were a fund manager? In the 10 years I traded, my return totals around 6000% with no losing months. More investors wish to join. I am considering about forming a hedge fund, have not decided if I would accept more investors. If after a few years I do, wondering what is a fair fee structure.
I have a much worse record, around 2000% return over 10 years but I have multiple family members offering significant (personal) funds. I refuse because my current record is pathetic and unless I'm very confident in my returns, I won't take anything. Are your strategies really scalable? If they are easily scalable then even 20% is a good number because your returns would be massive. Have you done calculations on the reduction in returns due to size? Then that number vs. performance fees?
Most of my stuff doesn't scale well at all. I was looking for a version that offers a worse RR profile but only trades high liquidity instruments, that's what I'd use to trade OPM.
