Looking for a successful trader

  1. 666, we imagined it. It was Jack's ghost, back from the dead. I guess he found it unseemly that I greeted his reserection with such warmth, perhaps thinking "Euuuuuw! HE was the only one who missed me?" Truth is, my life is empty without Jack. No one else here makes me cry out in exasperbation "Whuuuuuu?" And I am still looking for him to give me that one insider clue that makes it all work. The obvious fact of my unworthiness makes me weep and cry out all the more to be loved. And withut my endless tinkering of backtest code to try to prove that SCT works, my life would be an empty shell. Anyway, I am glad he is alive. He did this cutsie peekaboo thing the last time he came back. I understand the senility thing all to well.

It's bad enough you give away my edge, but how is it you're actually watching me trade???

  5. You are so bad! HighJACKing Sapp's thread to Jactify it! How long have you had that just waiting for the stone to be rolled away?

BTW, Jason, again I apologize for the intrusion, but "Welcome to ET!" You might just make a faith of leap and try Jack's SCT. Todd swears it works, and teaches it unceasingly over on that unmentionable forum. He's a reloader, so I believe in his integrity. But you would think they would all have lernt it by now.

But I am just jealous. I will die unnoticed, much less lamented. After all, I don't even exist.

  6. Doji, do you have a proper Christian name? An improper one? Even a furrin heathen name will do. I just can't figure out which of many Doji's you aren't. I can give you candidates from the Shimizu, if you prefer. (No, that's not an obscure offshoot from the venerable practice of Shibari.) But, yes, when the "Heigh-ho! Dino-Sower!" 's foot comes down, you don't want to be under it.

If I had a proper Christian name, chances are my parents were Christians.

If my parents were Christians, chances are I would be Christian.

If I were Christian, the symbol of my faith would be the Christian cross.

And what is the Christian cross when viewed as a Japanese candlestick price bar?

  9. there is no insider thingy....

This is a momentum edge thread that makes 50-60 % a year with month long DD's so the rest of this response is OT for the OP.

Use the S/S (on your 1 min fav) and add "suppression" as in Scott's cash cow thread (See the original "flow sheet" there). This is an easy advanced beginner level of 15 trades a day which is a multiple of the daily ATR. As you see there are two bands on the S/S's I have posted recently. Use a cruder one (band for suppression)) to rule out faster, more expert trading off each DOM wall (like the old "30 minute trader" days).

    Then s l o w l y.........look .....at the V, P charts........

You will then "see" (on all fractals) that all patterns "complete" whether or not there is "acceleration"(VE's), "extension"(green lines) or "diminishing" (fanning) on "any and all" of the interlocking fractals.

Did you see that thread on wives and trading? For me each wife looked at it differently. One agreed when commisions equaled then exceeded salary, having a job was incidental. Another one said "I know my trading (meaning she learned trading and was trading too) is making 30% a month and I only do a few trades a week (with more $ than this OP has) by making a few phone calls, but I want to do other things than looking at "daily charts" on the weekend (Remember those mailed out little green softbooks?)." For stocks and PVT use a 30 min chart to "see" the completion (patternwaise)on any and all fractals. Code up the one pager and use the V as the leading indicator of P. (but only on the 3 beta universe criteria).

If I post, I will put in a "Jack Hershey comments" tag from now on. I always had a coprolite sample on my desk @ UCSC or EOP; handing it to a BS'er was my style. I liked answering "What is this?" when it was asked. I didn't know how it got packed down until you posted.
