You can automate spread calendar arbitrages. It's easy to automate. I can find a cheap programmer in the blink of an eye. It's harder to find a profitable strategy. You need to plot the returns of an IF-THEN analysis. If the expected value is positive then you got a profitable strategy. What's the return over 1, 2, 3 candles, From a 5 minutes bar, of a close being lower than the previous low ?
I can`t label it quite yet as a strategy, but I have created ( and still study) what I consider to be the actual physical mechanisms of market movement. I have recently tested (initial) something I believe to be quite accurate. I will post some of my older work for your consideration. That translates to mean I may have discovered mechs. that are more frequent and accurate. I`m interested in building a team, which includes programmers if that might be you. I have an existing testing program, but I need a few adaptations and then hopefully onto a working trade generator program.
