Your post started well and then got weird. Are you serious? Also re: options — if you’re an option trader then you must be delta neutral. An options trader is someone who is seeking to be compensated from the risks in holding an option contract. That is different than an equity investor who uses an option to express a view. If you understand the difference then maybe we can chat. If you’re good at math then I’d suggest reading a primer of options and futures to get started (John Hull wrote a textbook on this stuff that is what any generic mba student has to read — so if you haven’t read that then you are below average on the level of informedness).
So what stops the 100k other quants from doing the same, partnering up, selling strategies, etc? Or why a potential partner wouldn’t partner with any of the 100k other quants? Surely all quants think about strategies every day, and should be able to whip up some interesting stuff to sell to corporates or retail? Please respond when you’re sober and coherent
I have been on et for a long time. There used to be some decent threads worth reading here between a lot of junk. But recently looks like all that is left is stuff like this.. too bad.
