looking for a new macbook, suggestions?

  1. currently using a 2012 macbook pro retina, served me great, but it does get sluggish when l have my IB and Tastyworks software on, totally sluggish when open up my Thinkorswim as well. l need more RAM for sure, currently 8GB DDR3, high screen resolution an advantage to have more desktop real estate. on the cheaper end, would the macbook air retina with 16GB, be sufficient? or would a full on 32GB 15" macbook pro be the one? OR lastly should l just wait till 2020 as rumours going around macbooks go through a 4 year cycle, introducing a 'new' model then. my 2012 was the newest slimmest macbook pro then, and really worth the wait!

    thanks for advice

  2. Get a Razer Blade/Stealth or Dell XPS 15. All great laptops.

  4. Get one with a solid SSD drive. That way, not only is your MacBook lightning quick but it refreshes cache almost instantly. Some MacBook Pro's have HDD which can be slow.

  5. already has 256GB SSD, remember it use to take about 14secs to have a clickable desktop after touching the power button, but now about double that, but better than any PC laptop l had, also never needed anti virus which does use resources of the computer. l only use computer for trading, browsing, and note taking, so l am biased towards Mac. fair bias?
