I am 19 and currently in university and wondering if anyone knew of any basic jobs which might be looking to hire someone with some knowledge of the financial markets, options etc. who is just wanting to learn how the real world works and willing to do whatever it takes. I would work for free or virtually no wage at all as long as i was able to learn from some traders or successful business people in the industry. Any advice on how to get your foot in the door? Thanks

    constructive criticism welcome.

What you describe is a summer internship. Start sending out the resumes now for these jobs for summer '08.

  3. I am interning at a discount broker currently. I think it is a great place to learn how the market works. E-Trade, Scottrade, TD Ameritrade are all places where you can assist clients and most have their own intranet ran by Thompson financial with standard courses in NASD laws & regulations, courses on the brokerage industry and the like. Definitely not a bad place to start and is not bad for the resume.
