Seems usually the case. I was in Frankfurt, Germany in early 1990's. The 18-inch DSS satellite dishes were everywhere. It was unseen/unheard of in the US at the time. Took a few years for it to catch on. I was in China last year. I saw many of the "iphone like" phone devices with the similar interface (e.g. use 1 finger to slide/scroll, 2 fingers to zoom in/out, etc.). Samsang and some other makes. Last year in the US iphone still was predominant until now challenged by Droid and others. If this experience holds, it may be next year before you see that monitor model.
