Looking for 24 inch LED backlit monitor with 1920 by 1200 resolution

    For around $500. You would think this would be pretty easy to find. But no. So far no luck!

    @killthesunshine, all monitors are backlit, but I happen to need one that is LED backlit. That asus model will not do.

    @tradefreak, that model has only 1080 instead of 1200 vertical lines and it's not LED backlit

    Any LCD monitor has a backlight. It works on the same principle as movie projector. There is white light; and the film contains colours of different brightness or totally blocks the light to produce shades of black. In an LCD monitor backlight is the source of light and liquid cristall filters this light to produce colours.

    I will... because I have been using a 1920x1200 monitor for years.

    But then for the price of a 1920x1200 monitor you can get two 1920x1080 monitors, which are as good for office purposes (who cares about perfect colour reproduction or deep black if you read black text on white background all day long?)
