And some might return under a different username. Since ET doesn't limit the number of username a member can have unless some other forum sites, we might be still reading posts of the alter-egos of still older members. Regardless ET is great, providing a much needed social atmosphere for us traders. Whether it's old or new members, it's the quality of the posts that counts. I really enjoy being here.
lescor blew up? I just read from one of his posts that he reached $1 million mark some time in 2008, amidst the financial crisis!
You should watch the show The Young Pope starring Jude Law. Gives you a whole new perspective on the popedom. GREAT acting by Jude Law. *FANTASTIC* show!!
This is not a particulary smart thread, but anyway... Stay ignorant no more, Pekelo is to your rescue!!! 1. There is nothing special about people leaving a once often used website. It happens to ANY message board that exist for an extended period of time, not just ET. Quite natural. 2. The longer a website exist, the less oldtimers it can retain. I bet a hundred years from now no current poster is going to post here anymore, if you catch my drift. 3. In a specialized website like ET, there is just so many topics we can discuss before we run into repetition. Repetition is boring, just like your wife of 10 years. That is when you move on. 4. Things happen to people, they die, they blow out, some even get rich. The reason to be here cease to exist in short. 5. Trading is extra special, (as compared to stamp collecting) that the professional death rate is specially high, so people move on to be hairdressers, pizza drivers, etc. I probably could make up another reasons, but these will do. Any other question you might wonder about?
What are you talking about??!! I am still coming back to post here in my afterlife as long as this site is still up after 100 years.
He did not blow up. Other's started a rumor that he blew up and I suspect he briefly returned to the forum to explain everything is ok and living well. This forum has a nasty happy of trying to start rumors about a trader when that trader leaves the forum. Worst, sometimes the moderators and the forum owner (Baron) have been involved in such rumors too. Thus, even if you notify the forum about why you're leaving...members after a few months or years will start the rumors as if you never explained a thing. wrbtrader
Oh that's good to know. Now if I see a member leaving the forum and not coming back for a long time, I am going to just assume he/she has made it and is a multi-millionaire living the good life!
I mainly come here to see what unique interesting ideas I can gobble up and add to my collective. Lately it's been like a dessert. I think I'm more on the giving end now then receiving. I miss the poster here named Master Cheese. He had a unique thinking style. Now, having said that consider this scenario: If you were to be locked up in a cave by terrorists. At the end of 1 week what do you do to free yourself?
Unfortunately, if a long time member leaves without an explanation...I assume the worst...health related and because of such...not able to post only via personal experience.
