Look at it like this and maybe the US bull market is quite young?

I am not following...on average everyone is long. Why would anyone throw in the towel on a big rally?

It is special, because no time in the history of this country have we had a Trump-type dude with social media. This guy is a loose cannon, and we now have a loose cannon in a cabinet with the Twitter shit.

This is a new angle. Social media was NOTHING in 2008. There were no bloody iPhones (and other smartphones) saturating society in 2008, which is what everyone has now, ten years later.

  4. Smart phones and social media are cause for bullishness. I'd suggest that government closely resembles the Clinton administration after Gingrich et al took Congress. Paralyzed administration and preoccupied Congress. There's no government like no government.

I'm going to disagree with you there Mr. Beer on the bullishness bit. On the volatility side? Long that crap. There is something so awry.

Let's not forget the Fed's QE is what inflated the stock market up to these levels. The Fed has just started to unwind QE. It will only be a matter of time before it will have it's effect the stock/ real estate market.
I think once they have transferred assets to mom and pop and euphoric buyers, they will crash the markets and play the other side. The Fed creates these boom and bust cycles for their own benefit.

  7. I'm still selling vol o_O

But I don't see it as a problem, the low volatility. In fact one of the points I made in my first post on this thread is that it's a symptom of market efficiency...neither bullish nor bearish. But either way I'm fine. I'll buy on the way up or buy when it heads down. I'm patient.

Me too. And looking to pyramid. Trade what you see, not what you think (let alone what some character writes in a newspaper).
