Is there some reason why I can't search the internet and find long term charts. Farthest back I could find was to 2004? I am trying to find something much farther back? Does anyone have some?
The currency may have kept the same name, but somehow I doubt it truly survived regime change. Before that, I don't believe it was a floating currency, anyway. Wiki has a more complete history, no doubt.

in 2004 there might have been a change where old currency was replaced with new currency. i suggest you contact the iraqi consulate and ask for someone from the economic/business/ commercial section. you might also might contact iraqi banks.
