why not say to this guy: demonstrate on a demo that you can double your account 3 times in a row. Then demonstrates this on a 1k account , before loading 10k?
That's the thing I don't understand about this site. You have people on here who make it their business to constantly post about not only why you can't get rich trading but also why you can't be consistently profitable. I always wonder why is it that those who hold those beliefs continue to come here. Not only that, if they still trade, then why? That being said, I said before that I was gonna leave this site but I retracted. It's obvious that the wise thing to do would be to actually leave this site and never return because a new trader would gain absolutely nothing from the site as it currently functions. There's nothing but a bunch of pessimists trying to discourage you from trading.
Because they are too proud to ask for help. Just one manifestation of the EGO. Too ashamed / even very much afraid as it would be a blow to their EGO , if someone succeed where they have failed. Psychology/Spirituality ( EGO) again. Trading is really a mirror to people's psychology/Spirituality ( EGO) . I am going to start asking traders if they have a psy or not, or if they have done any dhamma.org thing. It is just becoming comical.
May not be that simple. http://www.priceactionlab.com/Blog/2015/12/long-term-backtests/#more-21242 Bottom line: it's a lot harder to trade now than the good ol' days. This is why the Turtle system (primarily channel breakouts) stopped working.
Read carefully what you wrote: You made money but have to fund your account again? You withdrew your profits to put that money somewhere else? But why put it somewhere else if you can make more profits from reinvesting your profits? Or at least leave some money to trade and generate new profits. What you did (empty your account so that you cannot trade anymore) looks to me as a confirmation you did not make money at all but probably wiped out. Your actions are confirming this. A profitable trader will never reduce his account to the level that he cannot trade anymore. People who make very simple, or rather too simple statements, do this because of lack of knowledge. Your statement is far too simple. I can make a living from a $2500 account. Making a living means at least net $5000 a month. Before speaking about enormous risks levered to the tilt, you should make a list of all potential risks. Did you ever do this? I did. And corrected this list based on +20 years of daytrading. Unknown risks were added and supposed risks were cancelled from the list. So with risks from real trading, not simulation. I explained in past already my moneymanagement, so I will not repeat it again, but those who read it will understand it. I can never go broke, no matter what happens. So these so called enormous risks levered to the tilt cannot hurt me. The biggest risk of all is a person who has no clue about the real risks. You are falling in that category. You speak about enormous risks levered to the tilt, but that is easy to post. You should be able to profoundly and very detailed give complete information about all these so called risks. Most of the time the biggest risk factor is the human being that is trading. So you should know yourself very well.
This is the stupidest thread I've read in a long time. I'm moving this to Chit Chat forum. Fundlord, if you continue posting negative threads like this, you'll be banned. This is a website for people who want to trade successfully. If you're here to just talk about how trading successfully is virtually impossible for a small trader, then you're at the wrong place. Who cares what the odds are? Do you think the odds of building a super successful phone app like Angry Birds or Candy Crush are any better? Of course not. But that's damn sure not stopping developers from trying. I could continue listing one example right after another demonstrating how the odds of extreme success in various industries don't deter people in the slightest from attempting to achieve greatness, but I'm not going to waste my time. Your negative outlook is a drag on people who are trying to actually to make a better life for themselves, and threads like this are not welcome here.
This is good criticism and I'm going to stop these ridiculous merry-go-round threads in their tracks moving forward. The only thing I ask is that you guys don't assume I see every "xxxxx doesn't work" thread that materializes, so when you see the same old tired conversations forming, let me know in the feedback forum, and we will get it taken care of.
I've been on here much, much longer than you, or anybody in fact. so get off your high horse, its entertainment and great fun you miserable Trader
It shows that you are already many years on the Chit Chat forum. It has infected your brain apparently. Being here a long time is not a good reference, rather the opposite.
