  1. Here's a pic of that wild animal that chased me.
I think it was a dingo or something. :)

  3. Yeah, it's great. It's in the Helderberg hills which is considered part of the Catskill Mtn range in upstate NY

Here's one more I took from that day.
Danger everywhere though. Poison Ivy! :)

I have lived in a few american cities.

New York. Never had an incident outside of my school. When they started busing, I was mugged 3 times for my bus pass. I did not have what they wanted so they let me go. We moved to Greenwich ct, I had my house broken into once but otherwise pretty darn safe. I spent a good deal of time in New York. One time my trunk was broken into.

I Lived in d.c. and for 5 years and for a while I lived a block from a bad neighborhood. When I parked my car, I walked away swiftly. However, the only real danger I routinely faced was walking my girlfriend home through gay area. The gays frequently gave her a hard time. (I thought it was all in good fun but she said they did scare her a bit.)

Lived in San Diego for 14 years. Had my convertible broken into once - after that left my doors open. Never a crime incident.

Living in American cities is not necesarily like living in a low intensity war zone unless you choose to live in the bad neighborhoods.

And living in San Diego was incredibly easy from a crime standpoint. Except for not leaving my wetsuit or CDs in plain view in the car, I never worried about crime. North County San Diego has to be one of the safest communities of its size in the world.

  5. Out of all the different incidents, wasnt there something that you did or did not do that might have invited criminals into your life?

For example, the convertible. Convertibles are huge targets for thieves. Easy to rip into. If you had only purchased a lesser or more common vehicle. . .

in order of best to almost the best....

    1) Key Biscayne. ( nothing beats it )
    2) Coral Gables
    3) Coconut grove
    4) Pine Crest
    5) South Miami
    6) South Beach... ( just way too crazy, but great for a young single dude)

Kendal and aventura dont even come close to the ones mentioned above.....I dont know how old you are...but id gamble you'd love the grove and south beach.

  10. I am in D.C. but the cuban side of the familia live in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale corridor. When I go there for a visit Versailles is a mandatory stop. If we cannot make it there then we slum over to La Carreta :D
