  1. Anyone use LiveVol Core to trade Options?

If so, what is your experience?

    Chris,

We offer the LiveVol X trading platform with accounts custody at Interactive Brokers for free including no market data fees for non-professional users. (Reg-T / Cash Account Minimum only $25,000). The CBOE charges $500/month for this. http://www.livevol.com/online-options-trading-software

Let me know if you would like to try a demo. Our commission pricing on this is platform is https://www.lightspeed.com/trading-platforms/livevol-x/#livevolx-pricing.

We are hoping to offer Livevol X with our other clearing brokers in the near future.

    Hi Chris,

I used Livevol Securities for Interactive Brokers, before Lightspeed bought them (no pb for a user perspective).
I did it because I thought IB was not really user friendly, and I was looking for a front-end platform specifically designed for option traders.
The Livevol platform is definitely user friendly for option traders. If you want to trade Stocks with it, that is just fine but not great. The good thing is that you still can use TWS at the same time. I even used TWS, Multicharts and Livevol at the same time.
In my opinion, it is just a (nice) way to add a user friendly front-end to IB. If you are happy with TWS, you would probably not gain much using Livevol.
If you need to find and analyze trading opportunities, OptionVue is way more interesting and... way more expensive as well.
I always had a very nice experience with the Livevol SAV. If you have a specific issue, Livevol allows you to take a "picture" of a specific window, send it with comments directly to the techs, and they work on it ASAP and are always helpful.
    Hope this helps.
    Good trades!

    Hi,
does Livevol support future options now? When i tested it some while ago it was equity options only.

    No futures yet.
One update I can give you for those that want the analytics, but would prefer Lightspeed/Wedbush with lower commissions, we can offer Sterling Trader for execution with LVX for analytics. Sterling is only $100/month + MD and the first $100 of commissions will pay for Sterling, so you only pay for MD if you are active. In January, our target date, you can switch to LVX for execution if you prefer that.

(FYI: Lightspeed Trading owns LiveVol Securities)

If you use LVX with IB as your clearing firm and Lightspeed as your broker:
    https://www.lightspeed.com/trading-platforms/livevol-x/#livevolx-pricing

If you use Wedbush as your clearing firm and Lightspeed as your broker:
    https://www.lightspeed.com/pricing/commission/
With this option, you can NOT execute through LVX yet and must use Sterling.

It is a big savings if you're active and on Sterling we can offer DMA. We also have a current promotion that I can offer you at Lightspeed/Wedbush if you email me directly your contact information. It will save on commissions for new clients for the first 2 months.
