I think I'd prefer to read their Books, understand their strategy first, then if I was impressed check out their live Trading room. Even the greats like Al Brooks and @KCalhoun , their Books first, YouTube next then live Trading room last. Hope this isn't KVETCH Mon.
I strongly believe that live trading rooms benefit no one other than the person who is getting paid to host such a room. Maybe there is a private room somewhere with like-minded friends that somehow "works," whatever "works" in this context would mean. I'd bet those are rare. Upstairs trading is a solitary business. I find the concept of "mentorship" in trading also suspect. I'm sure there are scattered cases where an seasoned vet was able to transmit wisdom to the neophyte. But few and far between. I do belive that books, articles, blog posts, videos, etc. can be used to communicate market knowledge to the novice (and journeyman) alike. But trading rooms, mentorships? Fuck 'em.
Unfortunately, this dude (Michael Chin) was outted for copy/pasting a strategy from another guy called Mack (and his system called "Pat trading"). Check out Mack's blog for details: https://priceactiontradingsystem.com/dayonetraders-com-review/
Fuck 'em all. Mack took what he learned from Brooks to start his own circus sideshow. But is Brooks crying and whining and sending cease and desist letters to Mack? Of course not. And you know why? For the same reason that professors of cardiac surgery don't send cease and desist letters to former students to prevent them from using the knowledge they PAID for to earn a living. People pay for education so they can use that education. Some of those who get educated become teachers. Mack should STFU and keep shilling his own service. Let these other guys continue to fleece their own flock of gullibles. The fucking trading vendor world is full of POS's and Mack is another one for how he is acting here. For crying out loud. What a world. Affirmed.
I too am a fan of Brooks' writings but I ain't sure he taught 1-point (or 4-tick) scalping on the 1900 tick chart.
