thx kowboy, I almost figured I am the only one with these problems. As of 9:20 (5/23) I can hear the guy again. Just good to know that these issues seem to be on their end and not related to my computer
Let's get an update here. How do you guys like the news service so far and how would you rate it to trade the news now that some of you have been using the service for a couple of months?
i like newsstrike a lot, the newsreader Bill is a great guy, and has all of the important eco. #'s right when they come out. and it is FREE.
Hello, Is there anyone using this seemingly great service(Newstrike) when trading the news in Forex? How does it compare to Bloomberg or others quite expensive newwire services? If one were to receive the news releases from Newstrike that affect the currency market as fast as Bloomberg.....we should be very happy! Thanks
As you know, they ask for your name and phone number when subscribing. Does anyone know if they give this info to other people? Just said in my email to them, "Obviously please don't give this # and my name out to anyone else or if you do this please let me know ahead of time and I probably would skip this service as I don't want a bunch of people soliciting me. Thanks."
I just give them a bunk #, they never checked. I called them before they could call me and requested the log in info.
Good idea. I should have waited but already sent the email. Thx javs5150 too. I just gave them my cell # and may be changing it soon anyway. BTW thx for the heads up on this BC Bob (not to be confused with BCE)
i think newsstike is mediocre at best. outside there call on economic #'s which is good it's worthless. they get 1/2 there stuff off briefing. any hard core scalper would be much better off with a squawker from the futures pits who's calling out all the orders and price movements as they're happening.a friend who's had both said trade the news is much better
The point here is that this free service gets you the economic news instantly .. as it comes out. If you need some sort of hot service on stocks, pay for it.
