Do you guys know anything about the options that are supposedly available starting this week on GLOBEX? http://www.cme.com/trading/prd/ag/elvstcoptover20828.html I am using IB and can't get any quotes on these, although there is supposedly going to be a marketmaker. I am trying to look at the FEB07 90 calls and puts for futures symbol "LE". IB seems to know that it exists but there is no bid/ask. Do I need to subscribe to additional market data?
You don't have to subscribe. I guess it will take some time before volume picks up on these options electronically, if it ever does.
I don't know. I use a regular broker to get pit traded quotes. For now I am setup to work with e-traded contracts only.
The Feb contract certainly has been showing strength. I have not been in at all for a while as I am still looking for the proper place to play the market from the short side.
Closed out April Cattle Short at .9607 for a loss of 1.37 per contract ($550). I still think there is a shorting opportunity, but I'll wait for the next bus to come along.
