  1. b1s2, daily cattle closed today above it's 20ma with a positive weekly chart.

Would you consider a long position here ?

The long trade was on the close 11/15.

I am looking to play the market from the short side and so am waiting for that signal to come. Should the market pull back here and then exhibit a new long signal, I would go long there.

  4. Feeder cattle looks good. I don't trade it since it doesn't have e-vol.

  5. you don't have pit access at all? you can still trade feeders with globex,as you know, someone will take your order if its at the cme price.i wonder why feeders doesnt get any vol.they need a mm to get it going

  6. Thank you battleriv. The pit guys are thugs during fast moving markets, which seem to be all the time...

Didn't know I could make a market on globex for this contract.

Have you done it ? If so, where you able to get better fills than through the pits ?

  7. i have but usually use the pits.which broker do you use? i use IB and the broker there has been superb to me,the massive trader that i am.
i wouldnt expect to get a better price than the pit price but sometimes it happens.but the big problem is with feeders on globex is of no one else is there and then your order will just sit.it has been getting better though.:)

  8. I use IB too, but have never opened a pit traded position thru the platform. Does one use the order ticket ? How do you get quotes ?

    Thanks !

  9. hi. you would need to subscribe to cme floor for the data but you still can enter an order to the floor without subscribing to the data.to enter an order just do it the same as always, but without data you would need to create a data line first, not subscribe, then you could enter orders.or like you said with an order ticket. is your charting with IB?
