I could not be at my desk throughout the session last 2 days, so replaced them with Mon & Tue when I can be. I don't see how that's cheating. I suppose people will always look for other reasons. Short started this week, hopefully I will cover early next week, it was meant to be a swing trade from the start.

So far so good, but you conveniently left a position open. If you trully wanted to replace this week's last 2 days, you should have closed all your positions, and restart on Monday...

    I don't see how that's cheating.

It is not cheating as long as you will devide your results with 7 and not with 5 at the end of Tuesday. It all has to do with accounting, 3rd grade stuff...

it was meant to be a swing trade from the start.

Exactly. And in the original given time of 5 days, that short didn't work, closed the week at breakeven. But I will refrain from posting until you finish the journal... Have a great weekend...

why 7 days? In the end of the day, it's not about a 20 point target, it's about being in the money. If one accounts for position size, which I haven't done, as you pointed out (1.125 instead of 2.25 loss), the PnL would be different. First trade went 7.75 points on last 1/4 position and the actual call was good for 11.75 points, a call is a call. PT was stated all along, just because I couldn't trade it, does not alter the call, it alters the trade stats. 1 point got replaced by 0.5 point again keeping in mind per contract per trade basis. Also, re swing trade, you know pretty well that it is not possible to allocate an exact time frame for swing trades, entry was this week, exit - hopefully early next week.

So, after 3 realised trades +2.75 points per contract per trade or +6.5 re - max point gain or +10.50 re - 3 live calls. I am not even mentioning multiplying point gain by units, as that's just inappropriate.

    Nice weekend to you also.

Romik, if your MOM has cancer, you are in the wrong place right now. I may not agree with your averaging style, but here is my thought on your current position. Best of luck to you.

Guys, first I get criticised for the way I trade, now I get same royal treatment for posting. I post when I have time to do so, I hope that clarifies things. Thank you for your concern though, I appreciate. I really don't want to talk about my personal life, as it is impossible to fully understand one another through online exchange of messages that do not paint a complete picture.

Vol, if you are calling a top at 1340, perhaps you can provide the reasoning, like a chart or something, cheers.

  8. Was there a "Live Call" for today?

    Did I miss it?

D*mn, I was hoping to get a step on the markets, er the S&P e-mini that is. (Well, maybe tomorrow).

Good Luck with the position(s) ... so's what's the tally now anyway? Did you get that big 20pts ES? Oh, that was last week, so, what, we can expect a sum total of 40 for this week?

    Later,

    JJ

  10. 733.60 * $50 = 14.67 pts ES

If that's with one contract that's actually pretty good, the mean average of a "good trader" is a littlbe bit better than 10 pts per week, on average over a 50 week period of time (well, according to my calcs).

    Good enough.
