Linkedin - anyone use it?

  1. Just curious if anyone out there uses Linkedin, and for mainly what. Some of the profiles had me busting a gut. Osama bin Laden is on there (obviously fake). Obama's real profile is on there.

  2. Yea, but don't use it much. Originally had it while I debated looking to trade for someone instead of on my own. I have a few old friends who I wouldn't have known what they were doing that have contacted me. A couple of guys who are now with the CME that I met over the years, and they pass on interesting information on the CME that I might ordinarily miss.
If I didn't have it, I probably wouldn't miss it.

  3. Linkedin is fun to play with, but I really don't see the use, beside letting other spy on you.

I have an account, but I seldom go on.

  4. I don't see the point about setting up detailed social site profiles, do that others can harvest your information and scam/spam/commit identity theft.

From what I read, there is little that info seekers like better than detailed social networks...
